When humans work together, it is inevitable that miscommunications occur. This is often irritating and considered negative. What would happen if we embraced these instances as learning opportunities? How can we disagree with each other without becoming disagreeable?
An Open Dialogue requires a certain degree of self awareness and nudges people to go beyond their comfort zone. A "Facilitated Conversation" is still a self-guided conversation on a particular subject with some structured exercises and possible interventions.
"Open Dialogue" is an experimental form of a conversation based on the pioneering work of David Bohm. He noticed that people can enter into a deeper understanding of each other, when they honestly express what is on their mind and when they listen with undivided attention.
SlowTalk allows participants to meet as equals during strategic meetings and thus tap into the potential of each other. People feel at ease and as a result, are more inclined to contribute their ideas and listen to those of others when they are co-operating in a clear and transparent structure.
